The Job and Social Services Office provides a variety of services to both residents and visitors to West Yellowstone. The office has resources to assist people with vital needs such as food, clothing, health care, and job referrals. Anyone is welcome to visit the office which is located in the Union Pacific Dining Lodge at 200 Yellowstone Avenue.

The Office is staffed by a full–time Social Services Coordinator and a part time Social Services Assistant. The office is generally open from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, but actual hours of operation are posted on the door. The Food Bank is open on Thursday afternoons from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Needy individuals and families can receive emergency food supplies and clothing from the food bank and donation center.

A Montana Job Service Center is operated from the office which specializes in helping people with job searches, resumes, and applications as well as assist with unemployment claims and labor law questions. The office also provides information on immunizations and schedules appointments with the Gallatin County Public Health Nurse. The staff also assists with Montana Medicaid applications and handles Child Protective Services referrals. Donations of food, useful clothing and household items are accepted at the office and tax receipts are provided.
